surveys, crop damage, kill of pre-
vious seasons, car kill, and size,
weight, health, age and doe-fawn
ratios of deer in the said counties
in reaching such decision.]
Deer, both sexes (bow and In counties having a bow and ar-
arrow) row season, deer of either sex may
be [killed between September 1
and December 31, by means of a
bow and arrow.] hunted for a
period to be fixed annually by the
Commission.
In any county or election district of the State, the Commission
may reduce the [deer] wildlife population OR OTHER IDENTIFI-
ABLE AREAS [in areas suffering from crop damage] after a
thorough investigation [shows] reveals that [such action is justified]
protected wildlife is seriously injurious to agricultural or other
interests in any particular community THE AFFECTED AREA.
The method of reducing the [deer] wildlife population shall be at the
discretion of the Commission except that whenever feasible trapping
shall be preferred. The [deer] wildlife which may be taken under this
provision shall be disposed of by the Director of the [Commission]
Department as he may deem advisable and for the best interests of
the State. [Notwithstanding any court order to the contrary, no
person may shoot, kill or otherwise destroy deer during the night-
time or during any period of darkness by the use of a searchlight or
any kind of spotlight.]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 127 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game, and Inland Fish,"
subheading "Hunter's License," to repeal the requirement that
hunters must wear their licenses in a specified manner while
hunting.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 127 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game
and Inland Fish," subheading "Hunter's License," be and is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
