People's Court who shall, on or before the first day of January,
annually, pay the same to the clerk of the Montgomery County
Circuit Court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(House Bill 843)
AN ACT to add new Section 7-4A of the Montgomery County Code
(1965 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Laws of
Maryland), title "Montgomery County," subtitle "Chapter 7.
Courts," subheading "Article 1. In General," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 7-4 thereof, authorizing the judge of a criminal
proceeding to fix the compensation of certain witnesses.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 7-4A be and it is hereby added to the Montgomery
County Code (1965 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County," subtitle "Chapter
7. Courts," subheading "Article 1. In General," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 7-4 thereof, and to read as follows:
7-4A.
The judge presiding at any criminal proceeding may allow any
witness attending and testifying at the instance of the State's At-
torney or defendant in said proceeding such sum as may be reason-
able compensation for the loss which said witness may sustain by
such attendance, not exceeding ten dollars ($10.00) per diem.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 75 of
Chapter 780 of the Laws of Maryland, 1959, title "Maryland-
National Capital Park and Planning Commission," subtitle "Re-
gional District," being Section 59-80 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition) and Section 70-86
of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition) being Articles 17
and 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, respectively,
as the same was last amended by Chapter 449 of the Laws of Mary-
