section, to issue writs of subpoena duces tecum, habeas corpus ad
prosequendum, and habeas corpus ad testificandum and to
establish
a traffic school for persons convicted of violating the laws relating
to the use and operation of motor vehicles. As a part of the penalty
and judgment in their case, all persons convicted of violating any
law relating to the use and operation of motor vehicles may be re-
quired to attend the traffic school, under the conditions hereinafter
described. The traffic school, which shall have as its purposes driver
education and safety, shall be under the direction and control of the
judges of the People's Court, and it shall be operated by the county
police of Prince George's County. Violators may be required to attend
the traffic school for a period of time not to exceed an aggregate of
ten hours. The traffic school shall be held at such times and in such
places as may be designated by the judges of the People's Court.

The laws which heretofore have specified the fees chargeable by
trial magistrates and justices of the peace in said counties and also
the laws previously concerning the right of appeal from the trial
magistrates and justices of the peace in said counties shall continue
in all respects to be effective as to the People's Court of Montgomery
County and to the People's Court of Prince George's County and to
the People's Court of Harford County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 277
(House Bill 693)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 38 (a)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Local Licenses and License
Provisions," to allow minors to enter or to remain upon the premises
of the holder of certain licenses of Prince George's County where
a bona fide bowling alley is in operation, during certain hours.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 38 (a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Local Licenses
and License Provisions," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

38.

(a) (1) In Prince George's County no holder of any retail license
issued by the clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County
shall be permitted to sell in a sealed package or container less than
one-half pint of any alcoholic beverage except beer and wine.

(2) In Prince George's County it shall be unlawful for any person
under the age of twenty-one years, between the hours of 10:00 P.M.
and 6:00 A.M., to enter or to remain upon any portion of the premises
