regard to the age of the used vehicle. In all other cases the fair mar-
ket value shall mean that evaluation as shown in a national publication
of used car values adopted for use by the Department.

(B) THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES SHALL RE-
QUIRE EVERY APPLICANT TO SUPPLY INFORMATION AS
IT MAY DEEM NECESSARY AS TO THE TIME OF PURCHASE,
THE PURCHASE PRICE AND OTHER INFORMATION RELA-
TIVE TO THE DETERMINATION OF THE FAIR MARKET
VALUE. WHENEVER THE EXCISE TAX SHALL BE BASED
UPON THE PURCHASE PRICE OF A VEHICLE AS ESTAB-
LISHED IN SECTION 2(A)(14A) OF THIS ARTICLE, THE DE-
PARTMENT SHALL REQUIRE THE SUBMISSION OF A NO-
TARIZED BILL OF SALE.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 645M of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1966 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle
"Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subheading "Employment of
Prisoners," including Anne Arundel County in the provisions of
the law requiring the State Department of Parole and Probation
to collect the earnings of certain prisoners and relating to the
disposition of such earnings.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 645M of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subtitle "Venue, Procedure and Sentence," subheading "Em-
ployment of Prisoners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

The earnings of the prisoner shall be collected by the county pro-
bation department, except that for Allegany, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil,
Charles, Frederick, Garrett, Howard, Kent, Prince George's, Queen
Anne's, St. Mary's, Talbot [and], Worcester and Anne Arundel coun-
ties and Baltimore City they shall be collected by the State Depart-
ment of Parole and Probation. From such earnings the county pro-
bation department or the State Department of Parole and Proba-
tion, as the case may be, shall pay the prisoner's board and personal
expenses, inside the jail and, to the extent directed by the court, pay
the support of his dependents, if any. Any balance shall be retained
and paid to him upon his discharge.
