practice herein the profession of engineering or land surveying, when
such practice does not exceed in the aggregate thirty days in any
calendar year; provided, such person is legally qualified by registra-
tion to practice the said profession in his own state or county in
which the requirements and qualifications for obtaining a certificate
of registration are not lower than those specified in this article; or

(c)    The practice of a person not a resident of and having no
established place of business in this State, or who has recently
become a resident thereof, practicing or offering to practice herein
for more than thirty days in any calendar year the profession of
engineering or land surveying, if he shall have filed with the Board
an application for a certificate of registration and shall have paid the
fee required by this article; provided, that such a person is legally
qualified by registration to practice said profession in his own state
or country in which the requirements and qualifications for obtain-
ing a certificate of registration are not lower than those specified in
this article. Such practice shall continue only for such time as the
Board requires for consideration of the application for registration;
or

(d)    The work of an employee or a subordinate of a person hold-
ing a certificate of registration under this article, or an employee of
a person practicing lawfully under paragraphs (b) or (c) of this
section; provided, such work is done under the direct responsibility
and supervision of a person holding a certificate of registration
under this article or a person practicing lawfully under paragraphs
(b) or (c) of this section; or

(e)    The practice of officers and employees of the government of
the United States while engaged within this State in the practice of
the profession of engineering or land surveying, for said government.

(f)    The work or practice of a regular employee of a public utility
company, by rendering to such company engineering service in con-
nection with its facilities which are subject to regulation, super-
vision, and control, in order to safeguard life, health and property
by a state or federal regulatory commission having jurisdiction so
long as such person is thus actually and exclusively employed and no
longer.

(g)    The work, or practice of engineering, by officers or em-
ployees engaged in manufacturing, or in industrial processes, or in
industrial engineering, or in the maintenance and repair of struc-
tures of equipment used in such manufacturing or industrial proc-
esses, in the plants owned or leased by such corporations or organiza-
tions.]

(b)    The work of an employee or a subordinate of a person hold-
ing a certificate of registration under this article, or an employee of
a person practicing lawfully under this section; provided such work
is done under the direct responsibility and supervision of a person
holding a certificate of registration under this article of a person
practicing lawfully under this section; or

(c)    The practice of officers and employees of the government of
the United States while engaged within this State in the practice of
the profession of engineering or land surveying for said government.

(d)    The work or practice of a regular employee of a public utility
