Resolved, that the Commission is requested to report its conclusions
to the Governor and the General Assembly by a date to be fixed by
the Governor, and be it further
Resolved, that copies of this Resolution are sent to the Governor
of Maryland, to the State Board of Agriculture and to the other
agencies named herein.

(House Joint Resolution 21)
House Joint Resolution, requesting the Legislative Council to appoint
a committee to study the desirability and feasibility of appropriat-
ing funds with which the various natural resource management
agencies in the State might initiate research projects on a con-
tractual basis.
It is the desire of the General Assembly of Maryland that the
various natural resource management agencies in the State be auth-
orized to initiate needed research projects by contracting with private
concerns for the completion of such projects; now, therefore, be it

tive Council be requested to appoint a committee to study the desir-

report its findings to the 1968 General Assembly.

(House Joint Resolution 23)
House Joint Resolution requesting the Department of Chesapeake
Bay Affairs to make a study of the practicality and cost of re-
surveying the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.
It is the desire of the General Assembly that, if practical, a survey
of the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries should
SHALL be made by the Department of Chesapeake Bay Affairs in the
near future.
The last such survey having been completed in 1912, the need
for current information in this area is evident; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Depart-
ment of Chesapeake Bay Affairs be requested to make a study of the
practicality and cost of resurveying the bottom of the Chesapeake
Bay and its tributaries, AND TO REPORT ITS FINDINGS TO THE
1967 SESSION OF THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
