Personnel subject to the provisions of this subsection holding a
provisional certificate shall receive salaries $200 less per year than
personnel holding a regular certificate.] an amount per year in
excess of the applicable schedule required for teachers as provided in
subsection (b) of Section 106 of this article as follows:

Supervisor with one year of graduate work               $2,800.00

Supervisor with bachelor's degree                            $2,100.00

Supervisor with no degree                                       $1,700.00

Such supervising teachers or supervisors of pupil personnel shall
be employed on a twelve-month basis.

[(e) Beginning with the school year 1957-1958 a supervising
teacher or supervisor of pupil personnel I having completed at least
one year of graduate work and meeting the requirements for the
appropriate certificate shall receive $700.00 per year more than the
scale as set forth in subsection (d) of this section. Such supervising
teachers or supervisors of pupil personnel I shall be employed on a
twelve-month basis.

(f)    Beginning with the school year 1955-56, with the approval of
the State Superintendent of Schools county boards of education shall
pay to supervising teachers and supervisors of pupil personnel II
without degrees an annual salary of $600 less than the scale as set
forth in subsection (d) of this section.

(g)    Beginning with the school year 1955-56, with the approval
of the State Superintendent of Schools county boards of education
shall pay to supervisors of pupil personnel II with degrees an annual
salary of $400 less than the scale as set forth in subsection (d) of
this section.]

(b) The Comptroller shall charge against and pay as herein-
before or hereinafter provided from the general State school fund,
the annual appropriation made by the General Assembly for the
support of the State Department of Education, including the expenses
of the State Board of Education, and the support and expenses of the
office of the State Superintendent of Schools; the annual appropria-
tion for the Maryland Teachers Retirement System; the annual
appropriation for the education of handicapped children, the annual
appropriation for administration and supervision of vocational
education in public high and vocational schools, for physical
education and recreation, for medical examination of teachers and
school bus drivers, for case and guidance service for handicapped
