THEREOF, AND TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

(13) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF
LAW TO THE CONTRARY, A RETIRED MEMBER WHO IS RE-
CEIVING A SERVICE RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE MAY AC-
CEPT EMPLOYMENT IN WHICH ALL OR PART OF THE COM-
PENSATION THEREFOR COMES FROM STATE FUNDS, PRO-
VIDED HE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIES THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF HIS INTENTION TO ACCEPT SUCH EMPLOY-
MENT AND SPECIFIES THE COMPENSATION TO BE RE-
CEIVED THEREFOR AND FURTHER PROVIDED THE RE-
TIREMENT ALLOWANCE RECEIVED BY HIM, COMPUTED
WITHOUT OPTIONAL MODIFICATION, PLUS THE ANNUAL
REMUNERATION FOR THE POSITION, SHALL NOT EXCEED
IN AMOUNT THE AVERAGE FINAL COMPENSATION UPON
WHICH SUCH RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE WAS BASED, EX-
CEPT THAT THERE SHALL BE NO LIMITATION ON RETIRE-
MENT ALLOWANCE FOR ANY SUCH MEMBER WHO HAS
BEEN RETIRED FOR A PERIOD OF MORE THAN TEN YEARS.

Sec. 2. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(House Bill 33)

AN ACT relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commis-
sion, repealing and re-enacting, with amendments, Section 83-57
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(1963 Edition) and Section 71-4 of the Montgomery County Code
(1965 Edition) being Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, titles "Prince George's County"
and "Montgomery County," subtitle "Washington Suburban Sani-
tary District," as said Sections were last amended by Chapters
172 and 839 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1965, relating to the manner of appointing the members of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission AND ITS COMPOSI-
TION.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 83-57 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition) and Section 71-4 of the Montgomery
County Code (1965 Edition) being Articles 17 and 16, respec-
tively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, titles "Prince
George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitle "Washington
Suburban Sanitary District," as the same were last repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, by Chapters 172 and 839 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1965, be and they are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
