AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 47 SEC-
TIONS 47 (A) AND (A-1) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title "Courts", subtitle
"Salaries of Judges"; to repeal Sections 48 and 48A of this Article
and subtitle; to repeal and re enact with amendments, Sections 49
and 50 of said Article 26, subtitle "Pensions of Judges and Their
Widows"; to repeal Section 50A of this Article and subtitle; to
repeal Section 12-4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County",
subtitle "Circuit Court", subheading "Judges' Salaries", as this
section was last amended by Chapter 925 of the Acts of 1965; to
repeal Section 5-8 of the Code of Frederick County, Maryland,
1959, being Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Frederick County", subtitle "Courts", subheading
"Article II. Circuit Court", as this section was last amended by
Chapter 363 of the Acts of 1965; to repeal Section 7-16 of the
Montgomery County Code 1960, being Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Montgomery County, title "Montgomery
County", subtitle "Courts", subheading "Article II. Circuit Court
Generally"; and to repeal all other acts or parts of acts, whether
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, to the extent of any inconsistency; providing generally
for the salaries payable to the several judges of this State in the
Court of Appeals, the Court of Special Appeals, the several circuit
courts in the counties, and the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City;
providing for the pension or salary payable to certain of those
judges at the time of their retirement or otherwise, and to their
widows; making provision for the powers of the several counties
and of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore in respect to these
salaries and pensions; and relating generally to the salaries and
pensions of the several judges and of their widows in this State.
TO INCREASE THE SALARIES OF THE JUDGES OF THE
COURT OF APPEALS AND OF THE COURT OF SPECIAL
APPEALS AND TO PROHIBIT SUPPLEMENTATION OF
SUCH SALARIES.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections SECTIONS 47 (A) AND (A-l) of Article 26 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title
"Courts", subtitle "Salaries of Judges", be and it is THEY ARE
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend- ments, under the new
subtitle "Salaries of Judges and Pensions of Judges and Their
Widows" and that Sections 48 and 48A of this Article and subtitle
be and they are hereby repealed; that Sections 49 and 50 of said
Article 26, subtitle "Pensions of Judges and Their Widows", be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, also
under the new subtitle "Salaries of Judges and Pensions of Judges
and Their Widows"; and that Section 50A of this Article and sub-
title be and it is hereby repealed; and all to read MENTS, AND TO
READ as follows:
