(House Bill 872)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19(f-l)
(2) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," to add motels to the
provisions of this subsection, and to remove the prohibition against
sales in hotels at bars, counters or for consumption off the prem-
ises in Garrett County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 19(f-l)(2) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

(f-1) (2) Such a license may be issued in Garrett County to a
bona fide hotel or motel which (i) is an establishment for the
accommodation of the public, providing services ordinarily found in
hotels or motels, (ii) is equipped with no fewer than 25 rooms, a
lobby with a registration and mail desk and seating facilities, and
a dining room which serves full-course meals at least twice daily.
[This license in a hotel does not permit sale at bars or counters,
or for consumption off the premises.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 619
(House Bill 873)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Garrett County to borrow in their discretion upon the faith and
credit of said County an amount or amounts not exceeding five
hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), and to issue bonds therefor,
for the construction of a community college in Garrett County;
and providing for the levy of taxes in Garrett County for the
payment of principal and interest on such bonds, and/or the pledg-
ing of the proceeds of school building incentive funds for such
purpose, AND PROVIDING FOR REFERENDUM.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Garrett County be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow at one time, or from
time to time, on the faith and credit of said County, a sum or sums not
exceeding in the aggregate five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
and to issue and sell bonds therefor, the proceeds thereof to be used
