operator's licensing laws of this State members of the Armed
Forces, spouses, children and dependents, with valid licenses of
other jurisdictions and to provide for the validity in this State of
licenses issued by the Armed Forces or other states to such persons.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 87(f) be and it is hereby added to Article 66½
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor
Vehicles," subtitle "Administration—Registration—Titling," to
follow immediately after Section 87(e) thereof, and to read as
follows:
87.
(f) The provisions of this article relative to the obtaining and
possession of a license to operate a motor vehicle in this State shall
not apply to any person on active duty with the Armed Forces of the
United States or his spouse, children or dependents, provided that
such person has in his possession a valid operator's license issued by
his state of domicile; or if returning from duty outside the United
States, has a valid operator's license in his possession issued by the
Armed Forces of the United States in foreign countries, but such
Armed Forces license shall be valid only for a period of thirty days
after the licensee has returned to the United States.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 149A (a)
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Supple-
ment), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Motor Vehicle Financial
Responsibility," to provide PROVIDE for the disposition of cer-
tain unpresented or unclaimed checks or payments held by the
Financial Responsibility Section of the Department of Motor
Vehicles, and to correct a reference in this section to the name of
the Financial Responsibility Section of the Department.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 149A (a) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1966 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle
"Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
149A.
(a) Whenever the Financial Responsibility [Division] Section
of the Department holds a check or payment due to any person, firm,
association or corporation, and the payee, or person or persons claim-
