Beverages", subtitle "Boards of License Commissioners" be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and Section
155 (m) of the same article of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), be and it is hereby repealed; said Sections 151 and
153 to read as follows:
151.
The respective boards of county commissioners shall ex officio
constitute the boards of license commissioners in Cecil, Dorchester,
[Garrett] Howard, Kent and Worcester counties.
153.
In Harford County, Garrett County and in Caroline County, the
liquor control board is hereby declared to be a State agency to
administer the provisions of this article applicable to Harford
County, to Garrett County, and to Caroline County, respectively,
and as such is clothed with discretionary powers, in granting, refus-
ing, revoking or suspending licenses for the sale of alcoholic bev-
erages, within the limits prescribed under this article.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 548
(Senate Bill 621)
AN ACT to add new Section 138A to Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title "County
Commissioners", subtitle "Public Roads", to follow immediately
after Section 138 thereof, to authorize the County Commissioners
of Allegany County to open or close, or both, certain alleys and
streets in Allegany County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 138A be and it is hereby added to Article 25 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title
"County Commissioners", subtitle "Public Roads", to follow imme-
diately after Section 138 thereof, and to read as follows:
138A.
In Allegany County, the County Commissioners are authorized to
open or close, or both, any alleys or streets in the county having a
width of less than thirty feet where the purpose of opening such
alleys or streets is for the purpose of giving the County Commis-
sioners jurisdiction to close the alleys or streets at some later time.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
