immediately after Section 20 (g) (7) (Q) thereof, to exclude from
the definition of employment under the Unemployment Insurance
Law of the State certain service performed on a part-time basis
as a marketing research survey interviewer.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 20 (g) (7) (R) be and it is hereby added to Article
95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume),
title "Unemployment Insurance Law", subtitle "Definitions", to fol-
low immediately after Section 20(g) (7) (Q) thereof, and to read
as follows:
20(g) (7).
(R) Services performed on a part-time basis as a marketing
research interviewer outside of all of the places of business of the
enterprises for which such service is performed.
(i) If the service is performed pursuant to a written contract of
not more than sixty (60) days duration which expressly states that
the research survey interviewer is responsible for the payment of
federal self-employment taxes and understands that he is not within
covered employment as defined in this article; and
(ii) If the sale of or solicitation to purchase any goods or services
is not a part of the service performed by such marketing research
interviewer.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(Senate Bill 609)
AN ACT to repeal Section 284H (h) of Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Public
Education", subtitle "Chapter 27A. State Scholarship Board",
repealing a provision concerning approval of certain actions of the
State Scholarship Board in the laws relating to scholarships in
education.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 284H (h) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Public Education", subtitle
"Chapter 27A. State Scholarship Board", be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
