980                                LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [CH. 572

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Article 23B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1965 Supplement), title "Municipal Corporation Charter," be
and it is repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

ARTICLE 23B
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION CHARTER

[1. This Article may be cited as "The Municipal Corporations
Charter Act." It may be adopted and continued as the corporate
charter of any municipal corporation in this State coming within
the provisions of Article 11E of the Constitution of Maryland, and
of the supporting statutory legislation. The use of the terms "town,"
"city," "municipality" or "municipal corporation" in this Article
shall be construed as synonymous and any of said terms shall apply
to the municipal corporation adopting and using this charter pur-
suant to the provisions of Article HE of the Constitution and of the
supporting statutory legislation.]

1. Corporate name.

This charter is the municipal corporation charter of the Town
(City) of

[2. (a) The editor or editors of every edition of the Annotated
Code of Maryland and of every periodic supplement thereof shall at
the time of publication ascertain what municipal corporations in
the State of Maryland, if any, have adopted and are then using the
provisions of this Article as a corporate charter. Having ascertained
these facts, the editor or editors shall then include herein below in
this section a proper reference showing the names of each such
municipal corporation. The names shall be arranged in alphabetical
order within the particular counties and shall be so placed in this
section by the editor or editors in order to show at the time of the
publication of any such code or supplement the names of the several
municipal corporations in this State, if any, which have adopted
and are then using the provisions of this Article as a corporate
charter.

(b) This Article has been adopted as the municipal charter of
municipal corporations in the several counties of Maryland as listed
hereinbelow (this section being intended as informative only and
to have no enactive effect):

Anne Arundel County.

Baltimore County.

(f)

Calvert County.

(g)

Caroline County.

(h)

Carroll County.

(i)

Cecil County.
