55F.
Every employer subject to this subtitle shall keep a copy of
this subtitle posted in a conspicuous place in or about the premises
wherein any employee is employed. Employers shall be furnished
copies of this subtitle by the State on request without charge.
55G.
(a) Any employer who willfully violates any provision of this
subtitle, or who discharges or in any other manner discriminates
against any employee because such employee has made any complaint
to his employer, the Commissioner, or any other person, or instituted,
or caused to be instituted any proceeding under or related to this
subject, or has testified or is about to testify in any such proceed-
ings, OR ANY EMPLOYEE WHO MAKES ANY GROUNDLESS,
MALICIOUS, OR UNFOUNDED COMPLAINT TO THE COMMIS-
SIONER OR HIS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OR IN BAD
FAITH INSTITUTES OR TESTIFIES IN ANY PROCEEDING
UNDER OR RELATING TO THIS SUBTITLE, shall be subject to
proceedings by the Commissioner before a court to obtain an injunc-
tion and damages.
(b) Any employer who hinders, delays or otherwise interferes
with the Commissioner or his authorized representative in the per-
formance of his duties in the enforcement of this subtitle, or
refuses such official entry into any place of employment which he
is authorized by this subtitle to inspect, shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not
less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) nor more than Three Hundred
Dollars ($300.00).
55H.
If any provision of this subtitle or the application of such pro-
vision to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the validity
of the remainder of this subtitle and the applicability of such
provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected
thereby.
Sec. 2. And be it further, Provided, that in the case of employees
covered by a bona fide collective bargaining agreement in effect at
least thirty days prior to the date of enactment of this subtitle, any
amendments made by this subtitle shall take effect upon termina-
tion of such collective bargaining agreements or upon the expiration
of two years from the date of enactment of this subtitle, whichever
shall first occur.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
