proximately 10.5 acres, situate in the First Election District of
Baltimore County, to be utilized as part of its Baltimore County
Campus, and generally providing the procedure therefor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the construction, improvement and expansion of the Balti-
more County Campus of the University of Maryland, including build-
ings, grounds, roads and other facilities, is necessary.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That in order to best carry out
the construction, improvement and expansion of such facilities at
its Baltimore County Campus, it is necessary for the University
of Maryland to acquire by condemnation, the fee simple interest or
such other interest as the University of Maryland shall require, all
that tract of land, containing approximately 10.5 acres, situate in
the First Election District of Baltimore County, and described as
follows:

Beginning on the west side of the third culvert on Wilkens Avenue
easterly from Rolling Road and running thence on the south side
of said Wilkens Avenue, North 44° East 421 feet to the end of the
first line of the lot of ground which was conveyed by Victor Lancea
and Marie Lancea, his wife, to Charles Haffer and Matilda Haffer,
his wife, by deed dated June 30, 1937 and recorded among the Land
Records of Baltimore County in Liber C.W.B. Jr. 1006 folio 193 etc;
thence binding on the second line of the last named tract and by a
straight line parallel with Rogan Avenue 850 feet to intersect the
S 41° W 872 feet line of the whole tract conveyed by Alexander
Lassoto DeLassotovich and Virginia S. DeLassotovich, his wife, to
the said Victor Lancea and Marie Lancea, his wife, by deed dated
May 28, 1929 and recorded among the Land Records of Baltimore
County in Liber L.McL.M, 823 folio 420 etc; thence South 41° West
on the south outline of the land described in the last named deed
557 feet to a stone, thence North 59°-30' West 302 feet to a stone
and thence North 28°-30' West 612 feet to the place of beginning.
Containing 10 Acres and 2 roods of land, more or less, and said
property being known as 5451 Wilkens Avenue.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the proceedings for the
acquisition by condemnation of the property and rights herein de-
scribed and the rights of all parties interested or affected thereby
shall be governed by and be in accordance with the provisions of
Article 33A of the Annotated Code of Maryland and any and all
amendments thereto.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
