CHAPTER 539
(Senate Bill 467)

AN ACT to add new Section 30A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Charles County (1965 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County", subtitle
"County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section 30
thereof, to require certain agencies in Charles County receiving
county funds to publish annually a statement of activities of the
agencies, the statement to include a summary of the financial
condition of the agency.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 30A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Charles County (1965 Edition, being Article 9
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles
County", subtitle "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 30 thereof, and to read as follows:

30 A.

(a)  Each of the following agencies and any other agency desig-
nated by the County Commissioners and receiving any appropria-
tions or monies from Charles County shall publish annually before
December 31 of each year in at least two newspapers published in
the county a short and comprehensive report of the activities, pro-
grams and
, work AND EXPENDITURES of the agency for the
year. The report shall include a summary of financial condition of
the agency, showing receipts and expenditures.
AND THE PRO-
POSED BUDGET FOR THE COMING FISCAL YEAR.

(b)  This section shall be applicable to: the Board of County Com-
missioners; the Board of Parks and Recreation; the Commission on
Human Relations; the State's Attorney; the County Treasurer; the
trial magistrate of the county; the Tri-County Council for Southern
Maryland; the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the county; the Regis-
trar of Wills; the Charles County Board of Education; the Board
of Fire and Rescue Commissioners; the Youth Commission; the
Beautification Committee; the Planning Commission; the Board of
Election Supervisors; the Physical Fitness Commission; and the
Economic Development Commission.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
