therefor are exempted to the same extent from the provisions of this
subsection.]
(f)] The Department of [Tidewater Fisheries] Chesapeake Bay
Affairs is hereby authorized to take possession of any certificate of
number, title, permit, license or registration issued by it upon expira-
tion, revocation, cancellation or suspension thereof, or which has
been unlawfully or erroneously issued.,
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to add new Section 265A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", to follow
immediately after Section 265 thereof, and to be under the new
subtitle "Harford County Police Department", creating AUTHOR-
IZING THE CREATION AND STUDY OF a Police Board for
Harford County, to provide for a County Police Force, Chief of
Police, police officers and employees, and relating generally to the
appointment and operation of a police force for Harford County
and for its police officers and employees.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 265A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford
County", to follow immediately after Section 265 thereof, to be under
the new subtitle "Harford County Police Department", and to read
as follows:

265A. (a) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HARFORD
COUNTY MAY STUDY THE CREATION OF A HARFORD
COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ARE AUTHORIZED TO
OBTAIN SUCH ASSISTANCE AND EXPEND SUCH SUMS AS
THEY DEEM NECESSARY FOR SUCH PURPOSE. The County
Commissioners may by resolution create the Harford County Police
Department. If so created and established, the Board of County
Commissioners from time to time shall appoint a Harford County
Police Board. The Board shall have three members. The first mem-
ber shall be appointed for a one year term, the second member
for a three year term, and the third member for a term of five
years. Thereafter, each member shall be appointed for a term of
five years, and a member may be appointed for successive terms.
They shall not receive compensation for their services on the Board,
but may be reimbursed by the County for necessary expenses in-
curred in the performance of their duties on the Board.
