thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed, and to read as
follows:

67.

The President of the Board of County Commissioners of Garrett
County shall receive a salary of three thousand dollars ($3,000)
annually. The other commissioners shall receive a salary of two
thousand seven hundred dollars ($2,700) annually. These salaries
shall be paid in monthly installments and each commissioner shall
receive an annual expense allowance up to six hundred dollars
($600.00).

Any member of the Board of County Commissioners violating any
provisions of this subtitle shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be punished by a forfeiture of office.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not be construed to extend or apply to the incumbents in office
on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act shall
take effect with the next term of office.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 1212)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 7-39 of
Article II of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County
(1958 Edition and 1964 Supplement, being Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore County," sub-
title "Title 7. Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprisonment," sub-
heading "Article II. People's Court," increasing the salaries of the
judges of the People's Court of Baltimore County and correcting
errors therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 7-39 of Article II of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County (1958 Edition and 1964 Supplement, being Article
3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore
County," subtitle "Title 7. Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Imprison-
ment," subheading "Article II. People's Court," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

7-39.

The salary of the chief judge of the people's court shall be
[seventy-five hundred] nine thousand dollars per annum; the salary
of each of the associate judges shall be [seven thousand] eight thou-
sand five hundred
dollars per annum and the salary of the substitute
judge shall be [three thousand] four thousand three hundred dollars
per annum in addition to the sum of forty dollars per day when
