AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 239, of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Cumulative
Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "State Depart-
ment of Assessments and Taxation," relating to the salary of
assistant supervisor of assessments, in Baltimore County, Mary-
land.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 239, of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Cumulative Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle
"State Department of Assessments and Taxation," be and it hereby
is repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
239. Salaries in Baltimore County—Assistant Supervisor of
Assessments.
The county executive of Baltimore County, Maryland, shall upon
recommendation of the supervisor of assessments designate one of
the county assessors as assistant supervisor of assessments and Bal-
timore County, Maryland, shall be authorized and directed to levy
and pay said assistant supervisor of assessments an annual salary
as specified in standard salary grade [XXXIV] XXXVI as estab-
lished by the Personnel and Salary Advisory Board of Baltimore
County, Maryland, from time to time, including increments for time
served and longevity specified for such grade, provided, however,
that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State shall be
limited to the amount prescribed in the schedule set forth in Section
237 of this article, provided, however, that service prior to June
1, [1963] 1966, shall be taken into consideration in determining
the salary payable to such assistant supervisor of assessments.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That it is not intended that
reference to Standard Salary Grades established by the Personnel
and Salary Advisory Board of Baltimore County, Maryland, should
subject assistant supervisors of assessments to the jurisdiction of the
Personnel and Salary Advisory Board of Baltimore County, Mary-
land, but is merely for the purpose of establishing the compensation
payable to such employees.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal Section 707A of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Supplement), title "Natural Resources,"
subtitle "Oysters and Clams," to repeal an unnecessary provision
for a shellfish population survey in the waters of Talbot County.
