thereafter be paid over to or expended for the purpose of aiding in
the expansion of the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore City.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That until all of the interest
on and principal of any certificates issued under this Act have been
paid in full, there is hereby levied and imposed an annual State tax
on each $100 of assessable property at the rate to be determined in
the following manner: on or before May 1, 1967 and on or before
May 1 in each taxable year thereafter, the Board of Public Works
shall certify to the governing bodies of each of the Counties and
Baltimore City the rate of State tax on each $100 of assessable prop-
erty necessary to produce revenues to meet all interest and principal
which will be payable to the close of the next ensuing taxable year
on all certificates theretofore issued or theretofore authorized by
resolution of the Board of Public Works to be issued, and the govern-
ing bodies of each of the Counties and Baltimore City shall forth-
with levy and collect such tax rate at such rate.
All matters committed by this Act to the discretion of the Board
of Public Works shall be determined by a majority of said Board.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 69 of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement
Volume), title "Public Education", subtitle "Chapter 5. County
Board of Education", to extend the time for submission of the
results of the annual audit to the boards of county commissioners
of certain counties to ninety days after the close of each fiscal year.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 69 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Public Education", subtitle
"Chapter 5. County Board of Education", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
69.
Each county board of education shall hereafter provide for at least
an annual audit of its business and financial transactions and of
the accounts of its treasurer by an accountant or accountants ap-
proved by the State Superintendent of Schools, and the results of
this audit shall be made public by the county board of education.
Provided, that the county boards of education of Allegany, Anne
Arundel, Calvert, CARROLL, Cecil, Charles, Wicomico, Garrett,
Talbot and Montgomery counties shall also submit to the boards of
county commissioners of their respective counties within [thirty
