same pay, including longevity pay, subsistence and allowances as
are authorized for persons of corresponding grades and length of
service in the regular Army.]

(c)  Each enlisted man [,] who has served a full three-year term
of enlistment; and who re-enlists within ninety days after the expira-
tion of his previous enlistment, shall receive an increase of 10 per
cent of his pay during this enlistment, and for each three years of
enlistment served thereafter an increase of 10 per cent shall be
granted; not to exceed forty per cent.

(d)  Each enlisted man who qualifies as prescribed by the Gov-
ernor, in small arms practice or as proficient in the various duties
of the branch or arm to which he belongs, shall be paid the following
increase in pay of [their] his respective [grades] grade for a period
of one year beginning on January first following such qualification:
Experts, 20 per cent; sharpshooters, gunners, drivers, and medical,
first class, 15 per cent; marksmen, gunners, drivers, and medical,
second class, 10 per cent.

[For all purposes of this section,] (e) Officers, warrant officers
and enlisted men of the organized militia, who entered the military
or naval service of the United States in [the Spanish American}
World War I or subsequent wars, or emergencies, shall be entitled
to credit for the time served in such [service] Federal status as if
the service had been rendered in the organized militia.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 208
(Senate Bill 137)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 38 (b)
(5) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion), title "Elections", subtitle "Right of Registration", to pro-
vide that the Supervisors of Elections in Anne Arundel County
shall provide at least two days for registration of voters and
change of party affiliation and removals in the precincts prior to
closing of books before any primary election.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 38 (b) (5) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Elections", subtitle "Right of Regis-
tration", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

(b)

(5) Anne Arundel County. In addition to the registration herein-
above provided, the Supervisors of Elections shall provide for at
