CHAPTER 135
(Senate Bill 193)

AN ACT to add a new Section 456A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", subtitle
"Motor Vehicles and Traffic", to follow immediately after Section
456 thereof, making it unlawful in Harford County to cause or
permit an unlicensed junk motor vehicle or parts thereof to be left
on private or public property in open view of persons on a nearby
highway and relating generally to the civil and criminal penalties
applicable under this provision.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 456A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford
County", subtitle "Motor Vehicles and Traffic", to follow immediately
after Section 456 thereof, and to read as follows:

456A. (a) It is unlawful in Harford County as provided in this
section to cause or permit an unlicensed junk motor vehicle or parts
thereof to be left on private or public property, in open view of
persons on a nearby highway. Failure to remove such a vehicle or
parts thereof within ten days after a written notice of removal sent
to the owner of record by any authorized police officer
THE STATE'S
ATTORNEY OF HARFORD COUNTY is a misdemeanor, punish-
able upon conviction by a fine of twenty-five dollars for each day
after the ten days during which the motor vehicle is not moved
from the property.

(b)  In addition to the criminal penalty provided by this section,
the motor vehicle may be impounded and sold under the provisions
of Section 456 of this subtitle.

(c)   This section does not apply or refer to vehicles in a regularly
operated gasoline service station, garage, or motor vehicle junkyard
or "graveyard".

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 136
(Senate Bill 194)

AN ACT to add new Section 14A to Article 66B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Zoning and Planning",
subtitle "Planning", subheading "Title 1—Municipal Planning and
Zoning Commission", to follow immediately after Section 14 there-
of, to provide for the establishment of an office of a Director of
Planning and Zoning for Harford County including the duties,
responsibilities, qualifications and salary therefor.
