CHAPTER 102
(House Bill 206)

AN ACT to extend the Howard County Public Works Study Com-
mission established by the General Assembly in House Bill 677,
Chapter 412 of the Acts of 1965, for a period of one (1) year.

Whereas, There was created a Howard County Public Works
Study Commission in 1965, and

Whereas, This Commission was to be terminated by June 1, 1966,
and

Whereas, The studies of this Commission and reports submitted
have been of great value to Howard County, but are as yet incom-
plete, and

Whereas, There remains a great deal of material to be reported
on by the Commission which will be of additional value to Howard
County; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
as follows:

A.    That the Howard County Public Works Study Commission
which was created by Chapter 412 of the Acts of 1965 is hereby
extended for a period of one year.

B.    That the Commission shall continue to hold regular meetings
and shall make regular reports to the County Commissioners, the
State Senator, the members of the House of Delegates and the peo-
ple of Howard County at intervals of not less than every three
(3) months.

C.    The Board of County Commissioners shall continue to pro-
vide the Commission with such funds as in their discretion may
be necessary.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall expire auto-
matically on June 1, 1967, without further action on the part of the
General Assembly and shall be null and void after said date.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
