CHAPTER 663
(House Bill 413)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12 of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Civil Jurisdiction,"
to provide that the jurisdiction of the justices of the peace in Car-
roll County shall be exclusive in civil cases involving amounts not
to exceed $300.00.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle
"Civil Jurisdiction," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

In all cases where the amount claimed or the thing in action ex-
ceeds the sum or value of fifty dollars and justices of the peace have
jurisdiction, the several circuit courts for the counties shall have
concurrent jurisdiction with justices of the peace, provided that in
Baltimore County, Carroll County, and Howard County the jurisdic-
tion of the justices of the peace and in Anne Arundel County the
jurisdiction of the judges of the People's Court shall be exclusive
in civil cases involving amounts not exceeding $300.00.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 150 (g),
159(1) and 162(b) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Unsat-
isfied Claim and Judgment Fund" excluding from the coverage
of the Fund subrogation by insurers under uninsured motorist
coverages or medical payments coverages, amending the provisions
of the Fund law to prohibit claims by persons who have uninsured
motorist coverages effective in the State of Maryland, removing
the $100 deductible from the restrictions on payment of judg-
ments for personal injury only and providing generally for such
coverages.
