such child, or be accessory thereto, or shall knowingly secrete or
harbor such child, or be accessory thereto, with the intent to de-
prive such parent or parents, guardian or guardians, or any person
who may be in lawful possession of such child, of the custody, care
and control of such child, shall be guilty of a [misdemeanor] felony,
and upon conviction shall suffer imprisonment in the penitentiary
for a term not exceeding twenty years, in the discretion of the court.

7.

ANY PERSON WHO WILFULLY AND MALICIOUSLY SETS
FIRE TO OR BURNS OR CAUSES TO BE BURNED OR WHO
AIDS, COUNSELS OR PROCURES THE BURNING OF ANY
BARN, STABLE, GARAGE OR OTHER BUILDING, WHETHER
THE PROPERTY OF HIMSELF OR OF ANOTHER, NOT A PAR-
CEL OF A DWELLING HOUSE; OR ANY SHOP, STOREHOUSE,
WAREHOUSE, FACTORY, MILL OR OTHER BUILDING,
WHETHER THE PROPERTY OF HIMSELF OR OF ANOTHER;
OR ANY CHURCH, MEETING HOUSE, COURTHOUSE, WORK-
HOUSE, SCHOOL, JAIL OR OTHER PUBLIC BUILDING OR ANY
PUBLIC BRIDGE; SHALL BE GUILTY OF A FELONY AND
UPON CONVICTION THEREOF, BE SENTENCED TO THE
PENITENTIARY FOR NOT LESS THAN ONE NOR MORE THAN
TEN YEARS.

11B.

(a)    It is unlawful for any person to beat, strike or otherwise to
assault a policeman while the said policeman is acting in his official
capacity.

(b)    Violation of this section is a [misdemeanor] felony punish-
able by imprisonment not to exceed five years.

(c)    This section is only applicable to Baltimore City.

131.

If an insurance agent, solicitor or broker who acts is negoatiating
a
contract of insurance by an insurance company lawfully doing
business in this State, and who embezzles or fraudulently converts

lends, invests or otherwise uses or applies any money or substitute

for money received by him as such agent, solicitor or broker, con

trary to the instructions or without the consent of the company for

be guilty of a [misdemeanor] felony, and, on conviction thereof,
shall be sentenced to the jail or penitentiary for not
more than three
years, in the discretion of the court.

140.

Any person who shall by any false pretense obtain from any

other person any chattel, money or valuable security, with intent

to defraud any person of the same, shall be guilty of a misde-

meanor] felony, and being thereof shall be liable, at the


discretion of the court, to be punished by fine and imprisonment,
