shall hold office from the first day of June, 1947, to the first Monday
in May, 1951, and thereafter their successors shall be appointed for
six (6) year terms. Except as herein provided, all the other pro-
visions of Section 6 shall be applicable in the appointment and re-
moval of the members of the Board of Education of Calvert County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed or applied to affect the tenure or membership of any
member of the County Board of Education for Calvert County who is
in office on June 1, 1966. It is the legislative intent that as vacancies
occur on the Board from and after June 1, 1966, appointments be
made so as to give effect to this Act as soon as possible, in order
that all the provisions of this Act and of this Section 8 be made fully
effective at the earliest possible date.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 85
(House Bill 370)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 175 (12)
of 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement
Volume), (1965 Supplement), title "Insurance," subtitle "II.
Agents and Brokers," to include brokers as well as agents within
the purview of the ground of incompetence and untrustworthi-
ness as ground for refusal, suspension or revocation of license.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 175 (12) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), (1965 Supplement), title
"Insurance," subtitle "II. Agents and Brokers," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

175.

(12) Has otherwise shown lack of trustworthiness or lack of com-
petence to act as agent or broker; or

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
