1.  The Indian Head Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad,
Inc.

2.  The Potomac Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue
Squad, Inc.

3.  The Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue
Squad, Inc.

4.  The Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad,
Inc.

5.  The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad,
Inc.

6.  The Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad,
Inc.

7.  The Ironside Volunteer Rescue Squad.

The Charles County Volunteer Rescue Squad Association shall, at
least once each calendar year, conduct an inspection by a duly ap-
pointed committee of the Association to ascertain whether each rescue
squad's equipment and apparatus complies with the standards of the
Association. The Association shall on or before the first day of De-
cember of each year, submit a report in writing to the County Com-
missioners, stating whether each squad meets or fails to meet the
standards of the Association.
AFTER JUNE 1, 1965 NO NEW
VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUADS SHALL BE FORMED WITH-
OUT THE EXPRESS CONSENT AND APPROVAL OF THE
BOARD OF FIRE AND RESCUE COMMISSIONERS AND
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CHARLES
COUNTY.

(b)  At the end of each fiscal year each rescue squad to which
money is paid by the County Commissioners shall submit a certified
financial statement of its operations for that year to the County
Commissioners. The statement shall include the number of emer-
gency calls answered by that squad and the actual operating costs
of vehicles and equipment incurred in answering such emergency
calls, [The County Commissioners shall audit such statements and
shall in addition to the amounts provided in sub-section (a) hereof
reimburse the rescue squads for the actual operating expenses of
vehicles and equipment incurred in answering emergency calls to
the extent that such costs exceed $1,000.00 $1,500.00 annually.]

(c)  In the event any one of the rescue squads in the County fails
to comply with the standards of the Association, then the funds al-
located to that squad by the County Commissioners shall be withheld
until the squad has complied with the standards of the Association.
In the event any squad does not comply with the standards within
six (6) months from the date the squad is notified by the County
Commissioners of the failure to comply with the standards, then the
funds allocated to that squad shall be distributed proportionately
among the squads assuming jurisdiction over that area.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
