Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not apply
to any estate in which administration was granted prior to June
1, 1965.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 401
(House Bill 566)
AN ACT to add new Section 130A to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle
"Metropolitan Commission," to follow immediately after Section
130 thereof, to provide for the establishment of a water and
sewerage code of standards by the Metropolitan Commission of
Howard County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 130A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article
14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard
County," subtitle "Metropolitan Commission," to follow immediately
after Section 130 thereof, and to read as follows:
130 A.
On or before November 1, 1965, the Metropolitan Commission of
Howard County shall establish standards and specifications pertain-
ing to the installation and types of water and sewerage systems to
be used in Howard County and shall publish same in a Code to be
made available by the Metropolitan Commission at a minimum
charge to the general public upon request. The Code shall include
size and types of pipes and include all fixtures, structures, apparatus,
connections, accessories, pumps and all things associated with the
installation and operation and maintenance of such systems. FOUR
WEEKS PRIOR TO THE ADOPTION OF SAID CODE, NOTICE
SHALL BE GIVEN FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE WEEKS IN ONE
OR MORE NEWSPAPERS PUBLISHED IN SAID HOWARD
COUNTY SETTING FORTH THE INTENDED CODE AND A
DATE AND TIME OF A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON
SAID CODE.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
