school teachers, non-profit organizations and labor unions in the
county and to fix the charges and conditions for this usage.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 119 (g) be and it is hereby added to Article 33
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Elections,"
subtitle "Voting Machines," to follow immediately after Section 119
(f) thereof, and to read as follows:
119.
(g) In Allegany County the Board of Supervisors of Elections
is authorized to permit the use of voting machines by the school
teachers of the county, by non-profit organizations, and by labor
unions, for the purpose of any kind of election conducted by the
teachers, organizations or unions, under such terms and conditions
as the Board may fix. No charge shall be made for use of the machines
by school teachers, but all other organizations shall pay for the use
of the machines such reasonable amounts as the Board may determine.
Any using group or organization is responsible for the expense
of removal of the machines to the place of election and return to
the custody of the Elections Board, and for any damage to the ma-
chines while in use by the using group or organization.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 111 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Elections," subtitle "Voting with Paper Ballots," generally
amending the laws concerning assistance to certain physically
handicapped voters for the marking of ballots or the operation of
voting machines.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 111 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Elections," subtitle "Voting with Paper Bal-
lots," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
111.
(a) Assistance in marking their ballots or operating a voting
machine shall be given to voters who shall declare under oath to
the judges of election that by reason of blindness, impaired vision or
other physical disability they are unable without assistance to mark
their ballots or operate the voting machine. No ballot shall be marked
under this section or voting machine operated until a majority of
