I, Lloyd L. Simpkins, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 (c)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition),
Do Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 3, 1964, an Act known as Chapter 897 of the
Acts of 1963 was submitted to the voters of Anne Arundel County,
under the provisions of Chapter 897 of the Acts of 1963, said Act
being as follows:
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12-13
of the Anne Arundel County Code (1957 Edition, being Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County," subtitle "Chapter 12. Licenses," to transfer
the authority vested in the Anne Arundel County Commis-
sioners to examine and approve applicants for certain amuse-
ment and other licenses and to examine licensed premises
in the county to the new Board of Amusement License Com-
missioners, created herein, and relating to the exercise and
effect of such authority.
and I do certify that at said election 23,069 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 897 of the Acts of 1963 and 18,311 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 897 of the Acts of 1963,
the said Act has therefore been ratified by a majority of the quali-
fied voters of Anne Arundel County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
Annapolis, this 1st day of December, 1964.
