CHAPTER 170
(House Bill 633)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (h) (2)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Supple-
ment), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact," subtitle
"State's Attorney; authorizing the appointment of an additional
assistant State's Attorney in Cecil County."

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (h) (2) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in
Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney; be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments to read as follows:

40.

(h) (2) In Cecil County, (1) the State's Attorney's salary is
seven thousand two hundred dollars ($7,200).

The State's Attorney may appoint [an] two assistant State's
attorneys, to serve at the pleasure of the State's Attorney. The
assistant State's attorney's salary is thirty-six hundred dollars
($3,600).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 171
(House Bill 254)

AN ACT to add new Sections 13A to 13D, inclusive, to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963 Edition, being Article
1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany
County," to follow immediately after Section 13 thereof and to be
under the new subtitle "Bel Air Special Tax Area," creating the
subdivision of Bel Air in Allegany County as a special taxing area
for the purpose of providing electric lights along the streets, alleys,
and public ways of Bel Air, denning the extent of the special taxing
area, providing for the imposition of certain taxes therein, and
relating generally to the duties of the County Commissioners and
of the subdivision of Bel Air with respect to such electric lighting
system; and submitting this act to a referendum of the voters in
said tax area.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 13A to 13D, inclusive, be and they are hereby
added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1963
Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Allegany County," to follow immediately after Section 13
thereof, to be under the new subtitle "Bel Air Special Tax Area," and
