the County Commissioners [may] shall pay an extra sum not to
exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) annually to each department
and company except the Cumberland Hose Company. Payments under
this section shall be equal and uniform for all the departments and
companies. The provisions of Section 161 apply to any payments
made under the provisions of this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 122 (b)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1961 Edition,
being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Cecil County," subtitle "County Commissioners," as last
amended by Chapter 799 of the Acts of 1961; to repeal license
requirements for beverage vending machines.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 122 (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil
County (1961 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Cecil County," subtitle "County Commis-
sioners," as last amended by Chapter 799 of the Acts of 1961, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
122.
(b) Every person, firm, association or corporation distributing
cigarettes [and beverages] by means of a vending machine shall
obtain a license from the County Commissioners for each machine,
and shall pay ten dollars annually for each license.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Cecil County to borrow, upon the faith and credit of the County
during specified periods, a sum or sums of money not to exceed in
the aggregate the sum of Two Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($2,500,000), and to evidence such borrowing by the issu-
ance and sale of the general obligation bonds of the County in
