deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall
be subject to a fine of not more than five ONE thousand dollars
($5,000.00) ($1,000.00) or to imprisonment for not more than two
years in the House of Correction or jail, or both fined and imprisoned
in the discretion of the court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS, Sec-
tion 94 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours and Days
for sale," which in effect prevents Class D, beer, wine and liquor
licensees in Baltimore County from making sales during certain
hours on Sunday and Monday TO CHANGE THE HOURS OF
SALE FOR BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR BY TAVERNS IN
BALTIMORE COUNTY ON SUNDAY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 94 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours and
Days for Sale," be and it is hereby repealed. AND RE-ENACTED,
WITH AMENDMENTS, TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

In Baltimore County no sales shall be permitted by Class D,
beer, wine and liquor licensee between the hours of 2 A.M. Sunday
and 6 A.M. the following day.]

IN BALTIMORE COUNTY SALES SHALL BE PERMITTED
BY CLASS D BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSEES ON SUN-
DAY ONLY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:00 A.M. AND 2:00
A.M. AND BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00 A.M. AND 2:00
A.M. ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety and having been passed by
a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
