construed to bar or prohibit a transfer of ownership for con-
tinuance of a business in the same location, unless there has been
a transfer of location for such license within two (2) years. Not-
withstanding any other provisions of this section, a receiver or
trustee for the benefit of creditors of a licensee, may, within six (6)
months of appointment as such receiver or trustee or within six
(6) months of the death of the license holder, transfer ownership
and/or location of a license, subject to the approval of the Board.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 825
(House Bill 977)
AN ACT to add a new Section 72 (b) to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Rights and Duties of Licensees," to follow immediately after
Section 72 (a) thereof and to repeal and re-enact Section 72 of
Article 2B, Section 72, providing that licenses shall not be regarded
as property and shall be subject to suspension, restriction, revoca-
tion, and regulation under certain conditions, and to provide that
licenses issued under this Article in Prince George's County shall
not be subject to execution or distraint.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 72 (b) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Rights and Duties of Licensees," to follow
immediately after Section 72 (a) thereof, and that Section 72 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Rights and Duties of Licensees,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted all to read as
follows:
72. License not Property.
(a) Licenses issued under provisions of this article shall not
be regarded as property or as conferring any property rights.
All such licenses shall be subject to suspension, restriction or revoca-
tion, and to all rules and regulations that may be adopted as herein
provided.
(b) In Prince George's County.—Licenses issued under this
article shall not be subject to writs of execution by a judgment credi-
tor of a licensee nor shall said licenses be subject to a distraint for
rent.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
