Senate Bill No. 16—Transfer Tax in Howard County
AN ACT to repeal Section 152A of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle
"Park and Water Facilities Fund," as said section was enacted by
Chapter 267, 269 of the Acts of 1963, and to enact a new Section
152A in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed,
revising the provisions concerning the authority to impose a transfer
tax in Howard County on the transfer of real property, imposing
such a tax, providing for the use of the proceeds from a fund known
as the "Park and Water Facilities Fund," and relating generally to
such transfer tax and the Park and Water Facilities Fund authorized
therefrom.

House Bill No. 8—Sunday Sales in Anne Arundel County
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 521
(b) of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supple-
ment), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Sabbath Breaking,"
changing the description of establishments which are prohibited
from making sales on Sunday in Anne Arundel County and relating
generally to Sunday sales in Anne Arundel County.
