Senate Bill No. 9—By Senator Parran:

Subject: "CHARLES COUNTY," subtitle "HUMAN RELATIONS,"
CHANGING THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN RE-
LATIONS COMMISSION OF CHARLES COUNTY.

Amendments to Senate Bill No. 9
By the Committee:

Amendment No. 1—Strike out all of lines 5 to 11 of the title of the
Third Reading File Bill and insert in lieu thereof the following: "enacted
by Chapter 324 of the Acts of 1963; to add a new Section 127A (b-1) to
said Article and subtitle to follow immediately after Section 127A (b)
thereof; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 127A (c)
of said Article and subtitle relating generally to the terms, meetings, and
administrative expenses of the Human Relations Commission of Charles
County."

Which amendment was read and adopted.

Amendment No. 2—In line 6 of Section 1 of the Third Reading File
Bill, strike out the following: "sub-", and strike out all of lines 7, 8, and 9
thereunder and insert in lieu thereof the following: "Section 127A (b-1) be
and it is hereby added to said Article and subtitle to follow immediately
after Section 127A (b) thereof; and that Section 127A (c) of said Article
and subtitle be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and all to read as follows:"

Amendment No. 3—In lines 12, 13, and 14 of Section 127A of the
Third Reading File Bill, strike out the following:

"Each member shall receive a salary of $500.00 per year plus actual
travel expenses.

"(b-2)".

Amendment No. 4—Following line 17 of Section 127A of the Third
Reading File Bill, insert the following:

"(c) The county commissioners are authorized to provide all ad-
ministrative support to the Commission necessary to properly effectuate
the provisions of this section, and to annually appropriate to this end an
amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.)."
