The President laid before the Senate bills for a third reading as
follows:

House Bill No. 8—By Delegate Weidemeyer:

Subject: "CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS," subtitle "SABBATH
BREAKING," RELATING GENERALLY TO SUNDAY SALES IN
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.

Senator North, offered the following amendments, from the floor.

Amendment to House Bill No. 8
By Senator North, from the floor:

In line 22 of Section 521 on page 2 of the third reading file bill im-
mediately following the word "establishment" add the following: "; pro-
vided that no grantor of any such lease or concession shall have any
financial interest in any sales or income of such lessee or concessionaire,
and provided further any such lease or concession arrangement shall be
filed with the Chief of Police of Anne Arundel County and be open to
inspection by all members of the public".

Which was laid over under the rules.

Senator Alton, duly seconded, moved that rule No. 46 by which
House Bill No. 8 and the amendments were laid over be suspended.

Said motion prevailed by yeas and nays as follows:
