CHAPTER 167
(House Bill 380)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 5(D)
(1)(a) of Chapter 128 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1962, to amend the 1962 State General Construction Loan to per-
mit the use of certain funds allotted therein for Assateague
Island State Park to be used for development purposes.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5(D)(l)(a) of Chapter 128 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1962, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

5(D)(l)(a) Assateague Island State Park:

Land acquisition AND DEVELOPMENT $500,000

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1964.

Approved April 7, 1964.

CHAPTER 168
(House Bill 8)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 212(2)

and (3), 214, 216, and 217 of Article 11 of the Annotated Code of

Maryland (1963 Supplement), title "Banks and Trust Companies,"
subtitle "Currency Exchange Law," and to add new
Sections 224,

225 and 226 to the said Article (1963 Supplement), subtitle, "Cur-

rency Exchange Law" to follow immediately after Section 223
thereof, providing changes in the submission of reports relating
to licensed officers, agents or subagents, establishing fees for

agents, prohibiting the co mingling of funds, defining agents, estab-
lishing bond requirements and regulating the issuance of duplicate

drafts, checks and/or money orders, regulating lost instrument

and personal indemnity bonds, authorizing the Commissioner to
prescribe books and records to be maintained by licensees and
agents, to approve or disapprove fees and/or service charges, and
to prescribe such rules as may be necessary, and revising generally
the laws relating to currency exchange.
