licensed to take crabs for market); and provided further that no
trot line shall be placed in the water in such manner that the line
would intersect or cross another line already placed in the water.
Any person or persons having in his or their possession or under
his or their care, custody or control on any one boat or watercraft
one or more trot lines having a total combined length of more than
one hundred yards, measured from buoy to buoy shall be deemed to
be taking crabs for market and shall first secure a license as
required for the taking or catching of crabs for market or shall be
deemed guilty of violating this section. Any person violating the
provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined
not more than [fifty dollars ($50.00)] one hundred dollars ($100.00)
for each such violation. The provisions of this section shall not
apply to Apes Hole, Johnson Creek, Marumisco Creek and Little
Annamessex River.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 513
(House Bill 778)
AN ACT to repeal Section 697 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Oysters and Clams," to repeal an unnecessary provision of the
oyster laws requiring the predecessor agency of the Department
of Tidewater Fisheries to administer the oyster laws of the State.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 697 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Oysters and
Clams," be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

of a copy of the application for license.
