cents ($7.50) per day, and such amount as set from time to time
in the discretion of the County Commissioners for traveling expenses.

(b) Every court crier attending the circuit courts in the counties
in this State shall be entitled to the compensation hereinafter pre-
scribed for each day he shall attend said court, except as otherwise
herein provided.

(1)   Criers and messengers in Charles County shall receive an
amount per day to be determined by the County Commissioners and
approved by the Circuit Court of Charles County, not to exceed, the
amount paid to jurors.

(2)   Criers in Allegany, Howard, Prince George's, and Washing-
ton counties shall each receive five dollars ($5.00) per day.

(3)   Criers in Anne Arundel County shall each receive seventy-five
dollars ($75.00) per month.

(4)  Criers in Baltimore and Frederick counties shall each receive
such compensation as the court of said counties shall determine.

(5)   Criers in Calvert County shall each receive one hundred and
twenty five dollars ($125.00) per year.

(6)   Criers in St. Mary's [County] and Kent Counties shall each
receive ten dollars ($10.00) per day.

(7)   Criers in Carroll, Cecil, Montgomery, Talbot and Wicomico
counties shall each receive such compensation as the county com-
missioners of said counties shall determine.

(8)   Criers in Garrett and Somerset counties shall each receive
such compensation as the county commissioners shall prescribe, but
not exceeding five dollars ($5.00) per day.

(9)   Criers in Queen Anne's County shall each receive ten dollars
($10.00) per day.

(10)   Criers in Dorchester, [Kent,] Worcester, Queen Anne's and
Caroline counties shall receive seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50)
per day. In Worcester County, the crier also shall receive such
amount as set from time to time in the discretion of the County
Commissioners for traveling expenses.

(11)  The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such duties as
may be prescribed by the several laws of the State and by the local
laws of their respective counties.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
