Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Trustees of
Morgan State College and the Board of Trustees of the State Teach-
ers Colleges shall continue to exercise the powers and be charged with
the duties relative to the institutions under their respective ITS super-
vision until October 1, 1963, or such time prior thereto as the Board
of Trustees of the State Colleges having met and organized, shall pass
a resolution assuming the responsibilities conferred upon them by
this Act.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 42
(House Bill 12)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 302(d) of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement),
title "Testamentary Law," subtitle "Register of Wills," increasing
the possible maximum salary of the Register of Wills of Baltimore
City.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 302 (d) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1962 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law," subtitle "Regis-
ter of Wills," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
302.
(d) The Register of Wills of Baltimore City shall be entitled to
receive a salary of not less than $12,000.00 and not more than
[$13,000.00] $15,000.00.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immedi-
ate preservation of the public health and safety, and having been
passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the mem-
bers elected to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
