That subsections (a) and (h) of Section 21 of Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," be and they are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

21.

(a) A Class D beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued by
the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the place of
business is located, or by the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas
in Baltimore City, if the place of business is located in said city. It
shall authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic
beverages at retail at the place therein described, for consumption
on the premises or elsewhere [, except in Kent County where con-
sumption of wine and liquor shall be on the premises only]. No such
license shall be issued for any drug store. The annual fee for such a
license shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00), except as hereinafter
provided, and shall be payable to the said clerk before any license is
issued, for distribution as hereinafter provided.

(h) In Kent County the annual fee for such a license shall be
fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00). Provided that in Kent County
no person under the age of twenty-one years shall be permitted in the
tavern or on the premises wherein liquor is sold under a Class D
license; and provided further that in Kent County all alcoholic bev-
erages sold under a Class D, beer, wine and liquor license, except
liquor sold in sealed fifth-gallon bottles and beer, shall be consumed
on the premises only.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 419
(House Bill 969)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 19 (a)
and 19 (f) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Beer, Wine
and Liquor Licenses," relating to requirements in Dorchester
County for issuance of beer, wine and liquor license.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 19 (a) and 19 (f) of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

19.

(a) A Class B beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued by the
clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the place of business
is located, or by the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas for
Baltimore City, if the place of business is located in said city, and
