20(g)

In Dorchester County the annual fee for such a license shall be
two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). Such a license may be obtained
by (1) any bona fide yacht club and golf and country club operating
in Dorchester County, having been incorporated for a period of not
less than five (5) years prior to the time of making application for
such a license, and having a bona fide membership of not less than
two hundred fifty (250) persons and dues of not less than ten dollars
($10.00) per annum per adult member, and having facilities for
preparing and serving food on the premises to said members and
their guests when accompanied by such members, and owning or
operating a clubhouse or on premises principally used for no other
purpose and not directly or indirectly owned or operated as a public
business; (2) any local unit of a nationwide bona fide nonprofit organ-
ization or club composed solely of members who served in the armed
forces of the United States in any war in which the United States
has engaged, having held a charter from a national veterans' organ-
ization for a period of not less than five (5) years prior to the time
of making application for such a license, and having a bona fide mem-
bership of not less than [two hundred fifty (250) ] one hundred and
twenty-five (125)
persons and dues of not less than five dollars
($5.00) per annum per person, which organization or club operates
solely for the use of its own members and their guests when accom-
panied by such members, and meets in a clubhouse principally used
for no other purpose; and (3) any lodge or chapter of any bona fide
non-profit and nation-wide fraternal organization composed of mem-
bers duly elected and initiated in accordance with the rites and cus-
toms of such fraternal organization, in existence and operating in
Dorchester County for a period of not less than five (5) years prior
to the time of making application for such a license, and having a
bona fide membership of not less than two hundred fifty (250) persons
and dues of not less than five dollars ($5.00) per annum per member,
and owning or operating a home or clubhouse principally for the use
of its members and their guests when accompanied by such members,
and not directly or indirectly owned or operated as a public business.
Upon payment of said license fee, any such club, veterans' or fraternal
organization may obtain such a license from the County Commis-
sioners of Dorchester County; provided, that if any such club, vet-
erans' or fraternal organization shall be located within the corporate
limits of [the City of Cambridge] any city or town, the County Com-
missioners shall pay said license fee to the mayor and city council of
[Cambridge] such city or town, otherwise, they shall pay the same
to the treasurer of Dorchester County; and provided, further that
every such club, veterans' or fraternal organization shall purchase all
wines and liquors sold by them from the Dorchester County liquor
control board dispensaries and shall be charged for such alcoholic
beverages the invoice price thereof to the liquor control board for
Dorchester County, plus freight charges thereon, and plus a sum not
exceeding twenty percent (20%) of such aggregate invoice price and
freight charges from time to time.
