title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland Water
Fish", providing that, for purposes of fishing in Youghiogheny
River Reservoir and the Savage River Dam waters, a nonresident
of Garrett County owning property located in Garrett County
having an assessed valuation of more than $500.00 shall be per-
mitted to obtain a resident angler's license.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 219(f) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds, Game
and Inland Water Fish", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

219.

(f) For the purpose of this sub-heading, a resident shall be a
person who has resided in this State permanently for a period of not
less than six (6) months during the preceding twelve (12) months.
Provided, however, that in Garrett County any person owning prop-
erty located in said county having an assessed valuation of $500 or
more, and also any member of his immediate family shall be treated
as a resident of Garrett County for the purposes of procuring a
license to fish in Deep Creek Lake, Youghiogheny River Reservoir and
the Savage River Dam waters
only and in no other waters.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(Senate Bill 89)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 5(a),
7(b), 7(c), 7(d), 9, 15(A), 16(a) , 17(B) and 19(A) (3), to add
new Section 18B AND NEW SECTION 28 to follow immediately
after Section 18A AND AFTER SECTION 27, RESPECTIVELY,
of Article 78B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1962 Supplement), title "Racing Commission", sub-title "In
General"; to revise the racing laws of the State with respect to
expenses of the Racing Commission, the number of days of racing,
the change of name of Maryland State Fair, Inc. to Laurel Race
Course, Inc., DELETION OF THE REFERENCE TO THE PO-
COMOKE AGRICULTURAL FAIR ASSOCIATION, INC. FROM
THE LIST OF ORGANIZATIONS TO WHICH THE RACING
COMMISSION IS AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE LICENSES, the
conduct of racing by Harford County Fair Association, Inc. and
Baltimore Trotting Races, Inc. at mile tracks, the conduct of
racing by Cumberland Fair Association, Inc. at the track of Mary-
land State Fair and Agricultural Society, Incorporated, license
fees, breakage and taxation of money wagered at racing meets of
Harford County Fair Association, Inc. and Baltimore Trotting
Races, Inc. when conducted at mile tracks and the share of such
licensees in breakage and money wagered, the applicability of
Section 12 pertaining to the Racing Fund to Harford County Fair
