CHAPTER 314
(Senate Bill 220)
AN ACT to repeal Section 7A of Article 15A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Budget and Procurement",
sub-title "Budgetary Administration", this section concerning un-
expended special funds of Miners Hospital in the City of Frost-
burg and being repealed as obsolete.
Whereas, At the time Miners Hospital in the City of Frostburg
was transferred from state ownership to private ownership, legis-
lation was enacted concerning the handling of certain special funds
received by and credited for Miners Hospital, and
Whereas, This section now is obsolete and should be repealed,
now therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 7A of Article 15A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1962 Supplement), title "Budget and Procurement", sub-title "Bud-
getary Administration", be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 121A of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1962 Supplement), title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 8.
Teachers' Certificates, Salaries and Pensions", sub-heading
"Teachers' Retirement System", relating to special allowances for
certain widows of former public school teachers.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 121A of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Public Education", sub-
title "Chapter 8. Teachers' Certificates, Salaries and Pensions",
sub-heading "Teachers' Retirement System", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
121A.
Special allowance for certain widows—The widow of any former
public school teacher who was a member of the Teachers' Retirement
System at the time of his death and who rendered thirty years of
service as a teacher, and who prior to July 1, 1962 died while on
leave of absence for illness shall receive a special allowance in the
amount of one-hundred dollars ($100.00) per month. In order to be
entitled to such special allowance, the widow must have been married
to the former teacher for a period of not less than three years prior
