AN ACT to add new Section 45A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County", sub-title
"County Commissioners and County Collectors", to authorize the
County Commissioners of Howard County to borrow a sum of
money temporarily in order to meet expenses of county govern-
ment.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 45A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County",
sub-title "County Commissioners and County Collectors", to read as
follows:
45A. The County Commissioners of Howard County are author-
ized to borrow on short term notes from any bank or trust company
in the county for the year 1963 only a sum not to exceed two hun-
dred thousand dollars ($200,000) to meet expenses incurred in oper-
ation of the county government.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 328D of
Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Roads", as the same
was amended by Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1962, March Special
Session, providing for notice by registered mail or personal de-
livery of certain hearings with respect to the acceptance, mainte-
nance and construction of certain roads in Carroll County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 328D of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Roads",
as the same was amended by Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1962, March
Special Session, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
328D. Before the powers granted by this section to the County
