otherwise; all fees received from this source, however, shall be ac-
counted for to the County Commissioners by the said clerk.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 20
(Senate Bill 48)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 87, 89,
90, and 92 of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-title "County
Treasurer", Section 87 having been amended by Chapter 923 of
the Acts of 1947, Section 89 having been amended by Chapter 207
of the Acts of 1931, Section 90 having been amended by Chapter
585 of the Acts of 1933, and Section 92 having been amended by
Chapter 391 of the Acts of 1961; and to repeal Sections 90A, 90B,
94, 95, 96 and 97 of said Article and sub-title, Sections 90A and
90B having been enacted by Chapter 207 of the Acts of 1931,
amending the local laws of Calvert County with respect to the
County Treasurer in order to remove therefrom certain obsolete
and incorrect provisions relating to that officer and to his powers,
duties, and operations; and relating generally to the office of
County Treasurer of Calvert County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 87, 89, 90, and 92 of Article 5 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County",
sub-title "County Treasurer", Section 87 having been amended by
Chapter 923 of the Acts of 1947, Section 89 having been amended
by Chapter 207 of the Acts of 1931, Section 90 having been amended
by Chapter 585 of the Acts of 1933, and Section 92 having been
amended by Chapter 391 of the Acts of 1961, be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments; and that Sections 90A,
90B, 94, 95, 96 and 97 of said Article and sub-title, Sections 90A
and 90B having been enacted by Chapter 207 of the Acts of 1931,
be and they are hereby repealed, and all to read as follows:

87. (a) [The Governor of the State of Maryland, by and with
the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint a competent
person, resident of Calvert County, Treasurer for said county, who
shall give bond and qualify as hereinafter directed, and who shall
be ineligible for election until one full term has elapsed and who
shall hold his office until his successor is elected and qualifies as
hereinafter provided, and who shall be subject at all times to be
removed by the Governor for wilful neglect of duty or misdemeanor
in office upon conviction in a court of law; the said] The Treasurer
shall be collector of all State and county taxes for whatsoever pur-
pose or purposes levied or to be levied, for or within said county
during the term of his office and he shall have full power, and it
shall be his duty to receive and collect all State and county taxes
