provided, however, that this section shall not apply to Baltimore City
or Baltimore County. In Charles County, and notwithstanding any
other provisions of this section, a flat fee of $2.50 shall be paid upon
the filing of any suit in the magistrates court, which said fee shall be
the entire costs in the proceedings for both the Sheriff and the justice
of the peace. In Kent County, notwithstanding any other provisions
of this section, a flat fee of $4.00 shall be paid upon the filing of any
suit in the magistrates court, which said fee shall be the entire costs
in the proceedings for both the Sheriff and the justice of the peace.
In Anne Arundel County, notwithstanding any other provisions of
this section, the following fees shall be paid upon the filing in the
magistrates court of

1.    Confessed judgment................................................................................................$3.00

2.    Replevin.............................................................................................................................. 6.50

Appraisers (each) ............................................................................................. 1.00

3.    Ejectment ...................................................................................................................... 6.50

Additional defendant (each)..................................................................... 1.25

4.    Landlord's complaint............................................................................................. 5.00

Warrant of restitution.................................................................................... 3.00

5.    All other civil suits................................................................................................... 3.50

Additional defendant (each)..................................................................... 1.50

One reissue for original costs

Additional reissue (each).............................................................................. 1.50

In Caroline County, flat fee of six dollars ($6.00) shall be paid upon
the filing of any civil suit in the magistrate's court, which said fee
shall be the entire costs in the proceedings for both the Sheriff or
constable and the magistrate, except poundage fees as now allowed.
The entire amount of such fees shall be paid over monthly to the
county commissioners by the justice of the peace to whom said filing
fees were paid.
