missioners, the premium of said bond to be paid by the County
Commissioners of Wicomico County. The Sheriff of Wicomico
County shall receive for his services in serving each writ of fieri
facias a fee of two dollars ($2.00), and the clerk of the People's
Court shall not issue writ until the person, firm, or corporation
ordering the issuance of the same shall pay said fee to said clerk;
and the clerk of the People's Court shall forward the fee directly to
the county treasurer of Wicomico County. If there is a sale of the
property seized under the writ of fieri facias, the aforesaid $2.00 fee
shall be credited to the court costs, however, if no property seized
the $2.00 fee shall be forfeited. The said judge of the People's Court
shall also have the authority to appoint an additional clerical assist-
ant or assistants as may be necessary from time to time, by and with
the advice and consent of the County Commissioners of Wicomico
County, said County Commissioners to fix the pay and compensation
therefor; said additional clerical assistant or assistants, appointed
as aforesaid, before entering upon his, her or their duties thereof,
shall give bond to the State of Maryland in the penalty of five thou-
sand ($5,000.00) with corporate surety satisfactory to said County
Commissioners, the premium of said bond or bonds to be paid by the
County Commissioners of Wicomico County.

119.

(a) In addition to the justices of the peace and justices of the
peace at large hereinbefore specified, the Governor, by and with the
advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint one justice of the
peace at large for each county of the State, except Montgomery,
Prince George's, and Kent counties, who shall be designated "substi-
tute trial magistrate". Such magistrate shall post the bond required
of trial magistrates and shall receive a salary of $100.00 per year,
except there shall be four substitute magistrates appointed for Bal-
timore County, each of whom shall receive $2,000.00 per year in
addition to the compensation received when actually sitting as a sub-
stitute as hereinafter provided, and except the substitute magistrate
appointed for Somerset County, who shall receive five hundred dol-
lars ($500.00) per year in addition to the compensation received
when actually sitting as a substitute, as hereinafter provided, and
except the substitute magistrate appointed for Cecil County, who
shall receive $300.00 per year in addition to the compensation re-
ceived when actually sitting as a substitute, as hereinafter provided.
[And in Wicomico County said substitute trial magistrate shall
receive a salary of $800.00 per year.]

119.

(h) In Wicomico County [in addition to the substitute trial mag-
istrate provided for hereinabove, there shall be one additional sub-
stitute trial magistrate. He shall receive a salary of three hundred
dollars ($300.00) per annum and] there shall be two substitute trial
magistrates, each of whom shall receive a salary of three hundred
dollars per annum. Each substitute trial magistrate
shall be subject
to all the other laws relating to substitute trial magistrates.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
